This week has been so hectic for me. I am getting everything ready for the Scrap for a Cure Scrap Pink event on Saturday. I haven't even pulled any cropping stuff together, mostly make and take, goodie bags, and product for the "trunk" show. I am also trying to finalize the October Kits with pictures, instructions, etc. So, whew, I am exhausted.. I did manage to snap a few shots of Bianca and Tony. It was one of those times where we were waiting on someone, I happened to have my camera in the car, and Bianca and Tony were hanging out. Wowsers.. what a moment. Tony absolutely LOVES his big sister, and she adores him as well. I couldn't be more proud or feel so lucky to have these two people in my life. Every day, I laugh a little and stare a little in amazement at what God has blessed me with. I had Oprah on in the backround the other day and Jenny McCarthy of all people was talking about how us Mother Warriors really would do anything in our power to help or come to the aid of our children. So, to all you Mother Warriors, cheers!

Here is the finished project for the make and take for ScrapPink in Brentwood this weekend! I am so excited about this SOLD OUT event! We are going to be scrapping away raising money for Breast Cancer. I am so pleased to be working with C&T Publishing, they have donated a boxfull of product to help with the event. I hope everyone is ready to have some fun!

Wow oh wow.. do you ever get those emails that have such good news that you just scream right there at your computer? Well I got one yesterday. Many of you know about the Scrap for a Cure ScrapPink event that will be held in Brentwood next weekend with all proceeds going to charity. Well, I signed up to do a make and take, donate to the goodie bags, and a raffle prize. I was overwhelemed with the amount of people that were going, up to 50, so I emailed my friend Mary at C&T Publishing which I am designing for and asked if they would like to participate in some way. WOW did they come through. They are donating all of the mini shadow boxes, so I can do a make and take with it, donating a bunch of new products they just came out with and giving me catalogs to include in the goodie bags. I am having so much fun with Halloween items right now.. from vintage postcards, to creating fun tags, to making my own embellishments for the October Kit.. I am having a blast.

On October 18th, My Daughters Wish is going to have a Spooktacular event with all the design team members. We'll have 5 mini home decor projects, free ATC make and takes and tons of fun for Halloween. My mini project is the shadow box above. Isn't she cute?

A few weeks ago at the Antique Fair, I found a huge box of old tin screw tops. They were filthy.. I sat on the ground and picked out a bunch of them. I wanted to make them into mini collage ornaments. I have had this in my head for a few weeks, and last night I finally got to make it! It came out super cute! My new favorite is this little witch I made. Look for more of these to be made and put on ETSY.

I also went to Tinsel and Treasures and saw one of my favorite artists and friend, Connie Govea Stuart. She is so talented and I love her style and her presentation. I bought a mini doll shoe that is embellished "Connie" style. I'll take a pic and post later.

This is my favorite time of year.. the weather is perfect. Not too hot, not cold yet. The stores are starting to get ready for Halloween. My favorite holiday. I can't wait to pull down all my Halloween boxes and see all my fun things. A few months ago, I was at a Chinese Market and saw this cute little monster guy who was this brown basic "ugly" doll with a big red mouth. I wanted to buy all the "stuff" with him on it, but since it was imported and kinda a "Hello Kitty" type thing, I only bought a cute charm for my cell phone. Well yesterday, I went to Target and my little Domo Kun is all over the Halloween paraphanelia! A huge one is hanging from the ceiling and he is featured as their "mascot" for Halloween. So, I am one happy camper and bought a little mini stuffed one. Here is a pic for everyone.. isn't he the cutest thing you ever saw!

I know its only September 7th, but I am bursting with excitement for my October kit. Its going to be the biggest one yet! I have so many exciting things to share with you over these next few weeks.

My buddies at Scrap For A Cure are hosting a 12 hour crop "Scrap Pink" event on Saturday September 27th from 10am to 10pm. Hi All! Just wanted to share my latest creations.. Grungeboard Jewelry! Ever since my grungeboard book class I have been playing with the fantastic Grungeboard. I absolutely love it! I was so inspired with Tim's Industrial Grunge, that I came up with my own version of Grungeboard jewelry. I have already shown you the bracelets, now here are the necklaces. I am hoping to get this on the My Daughters Wish teaching schedule in September. Look for it tentatively on Thursday September 4th at 6:30. You'll make two necklaces and two bracelets. It should be a ton of fun!

Friends..

I just want to take a minute and talk about friends.. before I started scrapbooking I had a small group of friends, most from various work places and just people you've met along the way through life. I never knew anyone who scrapbooked and my mother was the one to start me on this path (thanks mom!). I remember joining a local scrapbook group and going to a crop all by myself without knowing anyone. That was probably 6 years ago. At that crop, I met some of the most amazing women I have known all my life. I still am best friends with them. Through the next few years, and especially working and teaching at MDW, I have met a lot of people along the way. I tell you that each person I become close to, brings me something different in my life. There are those that I am completely inspired by and in awe of their artistic talent. There are those whose "life light" just shines so bright that I want to grab some and tuck it away. There are those that talk, those that listen and those that inspire, those that really make you feel like your loved in this world. I can't thank each and everyone of those people, but I hope you know who you are. Its weekends like this past one with Tim here, and our newfound ATC group that I so very happy. I don't feel like I am going to work at MDW, I feel like I am going to where my friends are. This hobby is so much more than paper and glue, its all about friendships that go beyond the surface and really hit you in the heart. I love to show friendship, I love to give hugs, and I love to make people smile, if I can make someone smile, then I am truly a happy person. I am truly amazed when someone thinks of me and brings me something, or tells me they thought of me when they saw something. Thank you thank you thank you..

Oooh I am so excited! I am getting ready to head over to MDW to see Tim! I can't wait to see everyone so happy and having a great time with him.
I made these commemorative bracelets for his visit for all the girls that are working today and tomorrow. They are grungeboard bracelets. They have all kinds of fun charms and embellies.. Of course the purple one is for Sheri! I hope they all enjoy them.

Hi everyone! First off, thanks so much for all the well wishes after the crash. Everyone is doing great, and the vision of impact is fading and life is moving forward. We went and bought a new SUV, which I am kinda scared to drive, but things are much better!
This is a CRAZY week for me and for My Daughters Wish. We have the man, the legend, the freaking rock star TIM HOLTZ arriving on Thursday night. Personally, I am super excited because I just think Tim is the most down to earth, friendly and hilarious guy ever! In the business sense, THE ART LIFE is getting ready to debut a bunch of new products this Friday at the store when we will have everyone coming in to visit. I have my August Kit, which is full of vintage ephemera, ribbons, german scrap, and all kinds of fun things! I also have this new Jenni Bowlin product.. mini chipboard albums, and mini BINGO CARDS! Aren't these the cutest things you've ever seen? So, I have put it all together in some inspiration kits that also include some JB tickets, Heidi Swapp Bling, ART Life charms buttons and other doodads.. I am making a ton of new vintage inspired ephemera packs, tins, and collage sheets to add to my section of the store. Seriously though the mini bingo cards are so adorable.. I can't wait to make something with them!
I also went to the San Francisco Gift Show which is a trade show for gift shops.. it was totally overwhelming but I ended up ordering some beautiful Midori Ribbons, and some product from PAPAYA! I ordered these two Art Panel Prints which are 12x16 that have ribbon and ready to hang. I ordered calendars, journals, and cards, so if you see something you like email me and I can hold it for you.
Finally, here is a pic of some beautiful furniture I found a few weeks ago, with another one of the Papaya prints behind it. I am in love with this little dresser.. so beautiful and my colors!

CRASH!!

Thats what happened to me and Tony yesterday. We are ok. It was so scary, and I just can't explain how it happened.. your mind kinda turns off for those 15 seconds of impact. All I remember is seeing this car right in front of me and I hit it. Tony starts crying and I just try to make sure I can move. I immediately go to him and he says his neck hurts.. the carseat seatbelt did its job. My knees were throbbing from hitting the dashboard. The car is mangled and the other car is too. We ended up just fine, but I have these feelings of wow.. I haven't been in an accident in 15 years.. and my son was in the car. So, today is a day of rest and icing my knee, I am sure its fine. But I woke up in the middle of the night with that scene of the impact right in front of me. I am going to try to do something creative today to get my mind off of it. Tony is going to grandmas to make snickerdoodles.. so a day alone is exactly what I need. I also feel so blessed that we were not hurt badly and neither was the other driver.

I can't believe how fast time flies.. and that its been so long since I blogged.. sorry everyone! We had Tony's 3rd birthday party last weekend and wow it was so much fun.. here is a fun pic of him in the bouncy house. He cried when they came to pick it up. Poor baby.. I wish we could have one full time too.. keeps the kids busy.
Yesterday I taught the "I Wanna Be Tim Holtz" class at My Daughters Wish and we had a full house! Everyone got their hands dirty and hopefully learned a lot of new techniques using all of the FANTASTIC Ranger and Tim Holtz products. We played with grungeboard, distress ink, alcohol inks and paint and had so much fun. Thanks to everyone who came out to play with us yesterday.
My Daughters Wish is getting ready for the real man to come visit in two weeks. Its going to be utter crazyiness, but to have the rockstar himself in the store is going to be incredible. Then the day after Tim is here, the Paperchase bus people are coming, so no rest for the wishchicks. I too am getting busy making new ephemera packs, inspiration packs and putting out new things. Yesterday I put out a ton of ArtChix Studios collage sheets and buttons along with some new embellishment tins. They were flying out of the store. ArtChix does such a fantastic job on their collage sheets. So if your in the area, keep checking "my" section of the store for lots of fun new things!
I am almost done with the August Kit as well, and its full of fun vintage items, german scrap and beautiful lace and ribbons.. look for a sneak peak later this week.

I have been very busy creating and playing.. having fun! I am on this vintage kick big time and have created a bunch of new projects that will be classes at My Daughters Wish. They all are whimsical, fun and completely different then what I have done in the past. I will be teaching on the same days as Lisa Super, and we will be assisting each other with classes.. so come join both of us for a fun filled day of whimisical fun, exploring another realm of art!

First is "Fairy in my Boot". This is a mini boot which features mini Jenni Bowlin papers, Glaze and messy hands. Coming out of the boot is this darling fairy girl. She will bring a smile to your face every day!
Secondly is "Beeswax Collage of Me". This will be a wooden plank in which you'll have buckets, baskets and boxes full of things to choose from that represent your passions.. of course mine has an owl, is turquoise and Hambly.. you'll be amazed at all the great vintage ephemera I have lined up for you to choose from.
Thirdly is "A Whimsical Star Gazer". This little guy is there to make you smile every day. He will sit atop a wonderful box that opens a "different" way..
I also have a "Dramatic Theater" which will be a shadow box with a beautiful ballerina inside, but I am finishing her up. I'll post as soon as she is done.

Well Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope everyone enjoys this day with family barbeques and fun! I realized that I did not share my last Hambly project, so I thought I'd throw this one out there! I love making the Doodlebug houses and I decided to make the Hambly House with Mr. Hambly himself. It was a bunch of fun and I included 3-d chandeliers, an owl (of course) on a real stick sitting outside a window, curtains, flower boxes and beautiful Overlay flowers on top. I read they got hundreds of submissions.. I know they are going to have a very hard time picking from the talented people who have submitted.

Lots to share today! First off, I finally got pics of all my little baby turkeys.. they were in the front yard today.. so stinkin cute! I wanted to pick them up and cuddle them, but momma was right with them.. I was in the house, and I heard the babies squeaking.. and whalla.. here they all were! I was so excited!
Also, I am sharing some mini canvas' I did at the crop I went to at Picture Me Perfect where I got to hang out with Kerry Lynn Yeary, Marie and Ginger. We had so much fun chatting, creating and just hanging out!

Today is a big day around here. My beautiful wonderful daughter is 15 today. I can't believe it. I can't believe time has gone by so fast. I want it to stop! I spent the afternoon yesterday with her shopping our butts off. We bought, we chatted, we ate, we shopped some more. I can't express how proud I am of her, how wonderfully mature, beautiful and sweet she is. I say it all the time, that I am so blessed to have a daughter like her. We had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory, and I embarrassed her by having all the waiters sing to her.. and they we so CUTE! She was beet red and very mad at me. I loved spending time with her, just me and her. We don't get to do that very often, because I have Tony to take care of and "she is 15' and spending time with mom.. well you know.. I took tony to the party store to get his invitations for his 3rd birthday party, and you guessed it, he chose High School Musical as his theme.. I have a broadway star on my hands.. he also picked out ballons for Bianca and was so proud to give them to her. He gave her big hugs and said Happy Birthday Banca.. he says her name so cute! Today we are all going to Benihana's for dinner and we are going to have so much fun! Here are some pics of her and I through the years.. enjoy and give that little girl/boy a hug today.. cause tomorrow they will be teenagers and hugs are hard to come by!

Ok, day two of reveal of my Hambly projects.. this one hopefully is going to make people laugh. I found this "antique" puppet theatre box at a recent antique show and didn't really know what I was going to do with it, and I just had to do the "people".. me and Bianca. In our little Hambly theatre in our Hambly "clothes".. I had so much fun making this, and at the crop, I had everyone laughing with the 3-d chandelier and the frame in the back with my trademark owl.. So, here is project #2.. Hope everyone enjoys this and laughs a little.. heheheehehe!

I think everyone in my world knows how much of a fan I am of Hambly Screenprints. My friends call me Hambly girl.. anyone who takes a class with me knows that I will add something of Hambly to the project. Its like my little signature. The rub on owls are my favorite thing to add to each project, its my buddy. So, I was very excited to see they announced a design team call. Its a dream of mine to work with Hambly. Not only do I love their products, but I love the company. I have had the pleasure of touring the factory twice and I was blown away by the people, dedication and "family" atmosphere I saw. People had been working the machines for years and everyone had such a great smile on their face.
I love to work outside the box, try new things and work with products that are off the beaten path, Hambly is a perfect fit for me. There is no other Paper company I'd rather work for. I could have pulled any project out of my stash for this submission, but I became so inspired that I created a few just for them. In the next few days, I'll share one at a time, cause I think they are so special. I hope I can make them laugh and I hope I can stand out from the hundreds of submissions, I hope they can see that little ol me really loves their products!
This first project is inspired by Lisa Super, who is my collage queen! She is the person who introduced me to collage.. and I am loving adding my own spin to it. I love to mix new modern products with the vintage collage items. This is the Hambly Bust, and I have combined the beautiful Hambly papers and overlays with some of my vintage finds to come up with this beauty. She has a mini tag album around her neck and beautiful Hambly butterflies adorning her skirt. I think its a perfect mix of old meets new and will bring a different look for Hambly.

Happy Fathers Day!
Today is a day to reflect and be thankful for the men in our lives that are father figures or wonderful fathers to our children. I am blessed in my life to have a father in law that I look up to, admire and is as close to a father as I can get. My own father passed away when I was young, and I still miss him and wish he was here to enjoy my fantastic family. Here is an old layout of him and I. I love to look at these pictures of us.
Aaron is a fantastic father to Tony, he is doting, attentive and so caring with him. I love how he is around him.

I was so fortunate to have one of those mornings.. early over here.. sun just coming up.. no one is up in the house but me and the dogs.. and outside my door is my momma deer and her baby.. They had been coming around cause I give out lots of apples.. but never had my camera nearby.. I was calm.. ran and got it and grabbed my bowlfull of apples.. (they are always close for the visitors).

I got some tremendous shots of them. What an incredible vision. The baby deer is so fuzzy I just want to go give it a hug.. and that momma was soo cute.. you could tell she was communicating to the baby to come get some great apples and that it was ok.

Its definitely spring around here.. yesterday I saw a momma turkey and her 5 babies up in the open space.. (I haven't gotten them to come near, cause I can't figure out what to feed them, lol!) And last week I had to wait for a family of Quail to cross the street.. Dad came first.. alone.. got across the street and I knew his family was behind him. He called out and out of the bushes comes momma and her 4 babies.. they were so stinking adorable.. with the little thingys bouncing around on top of their head.. running and trying to fly to daddy across the street..

These are the things in life that are precious every day things that I treasure so much. I can't believe how much I am attached to the animal life around here. I am always looking up at the open space and being so careful when I drive around here. I don't think I could live anywhere ever again without all this wildlife running around. I could watch them all for hours and I'd love to take care of them too!

Happy Monday! I wanted to share my last (whaaaaaa boo hoo) layouts I did for the Scrap For A Cure Kit Club. June is the last month I am with them. They have picked a new design team. I have been with them since inception, and I can't say enough wonderful things about them. These ladies are the example of "doing what you love". They really did their homework, and have made such a wonderful company. I will miss getting their kits every month and working with them, hopefully I'll join the kit club as a customer.. :)

I know they are just going to keep growing and becoming more successful because they are the best kind of people that you want to be around and be affiliated with.

Ok.. so I pulled everything out for the June kits.. and I am so excited to create with it! So, here is a sneak peak.. see that cute little bottle of GLIMMER MIST! Only for kits.. and the color is SUEDE. Gorgeous old ribbons, buttons, german die cuts, flowers.. and even a sheet from an old journal from 1928. This is one not to be missed.. Its Friday! My week has been so busy, that I haven't been able to play at all! I have all these intentions to do so.. I have tons of things I want to make and play with, but I just can't get the time this week. I am hoping to get away for a few hours tonight to celebrate my girlfriends birthday Meredith! We'll celebrate and crop and boy do I need that! Tomorrow I leave for a family gathering in Oregon. We have never been in the car for so long with Tony, and I fear that it is going to be one LOOOOOONNNGG ride tomorrow. I am shopping today for a portable DVD player, it might be our saving grace..

The box for the June kit is overflowing with beautiful things.. I have been separating and figuring what is going in and wow oh wow.. last month I just dipped my toes in kit making, this month.. OMG! This kit is going to blow your mind! The beautiful papers, lace, old ribbon, custom embellishments.. I have been perusing my black and white photos and picking what I am going to use.

For now, I share my mothers day presents that I made for my sister and some of my friends.. its a 8x8 board which I have turned into a wall hanging.. I had a ton of fun making these!

I played last night, yippee! Makes me so happy. I really should try to do it just a little bit each day.. I do try, but life gets in the way. I joined a new ATC group and they are inspiring me with all their creativity. Its such a different world than what I am used to, but I am so excited to jump in. So, here are my 3 cards from last night.. the best part about them? I get to use these FANTASTIC photos of my mom when she was a little girl. These are those great photo booth pics that you snap 4 of them.. isn't she darling? I am going to pull out all the old photos and make ATC of all my family. Can't wait to keep playing..

I wanted to share a few things today. One, this layout I did for the Scrap For A Cure Kit club.. its all about the fabric and the grunge.. my two favorite things right now. I love elements with texture and depth. Anything that "pops" off the page. The kits for June and July are going to have these elements.. June is my Vintage collection.. look for angels, antique lace, buttons, and bulk in this gatefold album. July is going to be a fantastic kit! Its all about Tim Holtz, grungeboard and getting your hands dirty. I have a lot of his new products in my hot little hands and can't to start to create with them.. I have these huge see thru bins for each month and I keep adding so much fun stuff to them each day.. I'll have to take a picture for you as a sneak peak.. they look really fun!

This layout is about SELF. Its taken me a long time to reflect on myself and do layouts and themes based on me.. but I am finally here.. accepting and looking into myself and finding what I truly love!

Happy Mothers Day! I hope everyone had a fantastic day yesterday! We had a beautiful brunch yesterday at my parents in law house, and just lounged around. Then mom and I went to a few stores and I got some fun things for my upcoming kits.. totally inspired!

I have had these ideas to make cute felt items and I sat down last night and made one! Its my little TREE! He is soo cute and so much fun to make, plus I can sit at the couch and watch TV while I make them. I am going to make more tonight! Have a great day!

I wanted to share some pictures of my items in the store. Its very cool to see them out on the floor and see people pick them up and say "how cute".. so I am getting a kick out of it. Also, the picture of the owl "vignette" is something I am also selling, custom made.. you pick the color of the vignette and I'll make it for you! Casey was my first customer.. yippee! THANKS GIRL!

Its my favorite time of day here, its just starting to get light outside, everyone in the house is asleep and its super quiet. I am looking outside and see deer roaming in the open space and the world is good. I hope everyone had a fantastic NSD whereever they celebrated. I was at MDW for 15 hours I think. I think I finally caught up on all my sleep last night. I went to the Alameda Antique Fair on Sunday and came home with a bunch of fun things.. I'm going to take a pic today and post. Lots of things for one of my next kits.. hint.. "vintage" style.. oooh think old and beautiful. I needed to take a break from creating for a few days since I was so busy for two weeks getting all my kits and products ready. My display at the store looks super cute. If you haven't seen it I will post a pic of it today as well. The camera is downstairs and I just want to sit and watch the world start to get light again.

I am also working with my 6 dt buddies on starting a challenge blog called WISHCHICKS. Look for the launch of that hopefully in a week as well! We'll do giveaways and give lots of inspiration!

I can't believe I am doing this.. I can't sleep, my house is craaaaazy right now.. boxes everywhere and the excitement and apprehension is killing me, but you know.... I wouldn't have it any other way. I am sooo happy to be doing this kit club. I am feeling really good about it and thinking positively.
PLEASE UPS man come today.. lol! I am still waiting for 2 more boxes.. I have so much more to do and my mind is racing with all the ideas I want to accomplish.. but I have to get through this week. I have had so much support from family and friends and the scrapbook community.. I was at MillsRepCo yesterday for a retailers mini CHA show and was so excited to spend time with Jenni Bowlin. She is my inspiration! She is doing it, happy and successful. She had such words of encouragement and I left there feeling really excited and ready to jump in with both feet. I hope everyone will enjoy the things I create as much as I do. I promise to give A+ customer service, and my heart and soul into every project I do. With all the kit clubs out there right now, I keep reading "great customer service".. so that is my top priority. Keep looking, cause hopefully tonight I can post some more sneak peaks.. Big News! I know many of you know that last year I went down and registered a business name "The Art Life". It came to me (as most of my scrapbook ideas) in the middle of the night and I thought well I should register it. So, its been about 9 months and I have been trying to figure out what I want to do. I want to "do my own thing" but I want to stay and work with My Daughters Wish. So, I am going to have the best of both worlds! I am starting my business under the umbrella of My Daughters Wish. I am going to have my own "products" at the store in my own little area, and my own little area on the website store. I am so excited, nervous and overwhelemed by everything I am trying to do. National Scrapbook Day is next week and I want to debut my things. I am going to have 2 kits available only here on my blog and at the store, I hope each month. One will be a super fun project scrapbook kit and the other is going to be "something" else. That might be a felt project, fabric project, but something out of the box. I hope everyone can come to the store starting May 1st to take a look at my things.. think of super cute packaging with fun embellishments and super cute handmade items that are a perfect addition to your scrapbook page. I'll have card sets, tags, buttons, and anything fun and vintagy that I can get my hands on.

Happy Tuesday people! I am in creative mojo land.. I have two things to share today.. I finished my mini turquoise acrylic album this past weekend while cropping with my buddies.. I documented my tattoo's all 7 of them.. I wish I had more pics of them getting done, etc.. I was young silly and didn't think of things like that at 20years old.. but at least now they are documented and scrapped a bit. The acrylic album is just my favorite color and I love the PDQ chipboard letters I used for the title. This book is also available in my ETSY store.. come on and take a look!

The second thing I am sharing is my ATC card for the National Scrapbook Day Artiste fair on Thursday May 1st at MDW. All of the designers will be teaching make and take ATC cards, and here is my contribution. Its called "Ode to Baby".. anyone that knows me knows that Tony is in LOVE with his monkey "baby".. I even had to make him his own mini scrapbook of pics of him and baby.. so, I thought I'd use two of my favorite things right now.. the Daisy D's sock monkey paper, and Hambly.. weehoo.. come join me in making this super cute ATC on May 1st!

Other than that I am done with 2 of my next classes, which will be an mini acrylic book inside a Tim Holtz Tin and will be perfect for a mothers day gift, not only to your mom but any strong woman you know. The second is "We Are Family" which is the Maya Road Chipboard Tree album can you say "STINKIN CUTE???".. pics will come soon, but I'll have both samples at the May 1st party at My Daughters Wish.

Happy Friday! Since I went to the antique fair, I have been expanding my horizons to fabric stores.. and wow those can be just as bad as scrapbook stores. I loved to touch and feel the fabric. I loved all the colors and patterns.. I needed to tell myself that I DONT need another hobby to fill my life.. I have so much to do right now that I shouldn't but I did.. I am fully engrossed in fabric. I made my first "stuffed" owl, and I am well on my way to making my first sock monkey. I'll share those later. For now, I am going to share some layouts. First is my sock monkey layout with Tony's "Baby". This is his pride and joy, can't live without it stuffed animal. We all love baby as much as Tony does. I need to do the journaling, but I love love love this paper. The second is a layout of me when I was living in Brazil, 1985.. yea baby! Then, I am sharing my layouts for the Scrap For A Cure April Kit! Full of fabulous things and a full package of scrapworks letters.. you can't beat the bargain and fun papers and embellies in any other kit!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I feel like it went by waay to fast. I had a great adventure on Sunday. But first on Saturday, I taught my "7 Day's" class and we had such a fun time. Everyone was socializing and having so much fun we went over and had to hurry up to get it done.. lol! Next time, I am just going to schedule more time for my classes.. cause we just have too much fun! Then we had our DT meeting for MDW and we scheduled all our classes for May, June and July. I think I have 6 or so that will be on the schedule.. watch out! Look for a really fun acrylic class, a Family oriented class and a "Mommy and Me" class. All of our designers have so much talent and brought so much to the meeting.. each one of them inspires me so much. We also talked about the National Scrapbook Day schedule and the store is going to have 4 days of complete fun and crafting! Starting on May 1st!

Sunday was my big adventure, sneaking out of the house at 6:30 to go the Alameda Point Antique Fair.. OMG! It was a so incredible, the amount of fun things I saw.. I wanted so much of the furniture for my house! I wish I would have brought my camera.. but next time I will. The knickknacks galore, the furniture and the sheer size of the place.. I didn't walk out of there until 11:30, and I went pretty fast.. didn't stop at all.. just incredible.. its now going to be a monthly date for me.. and whoever would like to come, let me know.. the first sunday of each month!

These are my finds for the day.. I went a little OWL crazy and bought a bunch of them.. I bought some other things which I will also photograph.. but here they are!

First off, Happy Belated Birthday to Nancie.. the bestest friend a girl could ever wish for! I love you girl!

We spent Saturday night cropping with all our friends and had such a blast.. our make and take was making Maya Road People. They come on a chain and there are 8 of them to a book. We had soo much fun making these.. I can't wait to get them on a layout. Look for more pictures of others to come. I loved spending time with everyone and hootin and hollering eating and crafting.. I wish we could do this every weekend. I am truly blessed with friendship.. I had a fantastic Easter.. ate waaay too much, family members snoozed on the couch.. kids screeched in delight at all the eggs hidden in the yard.. just a wonderful day all together.. topped it off with a hike in the open space with Aaron, Tony and the two dogs.. they all loved it and we walked off all the ham, turkey and fixins from the day of festivities!

I checked my blog and lo and behold.. I haven't posted in over a week! Yikes! We were soo busy last week getting ready for Scrapbook Expo, that I didn't recover until a few days ago.. two 14 hour days.. a ton of work! But thanks to everyone who came by to say HI and support MDW. It is nice to know that people love the store and happy to know that its not closed down.. its amazing how many people thought the store was shut down since we moved. I have been creating a bunch of things, but I have to get scanning and picture taking.. I made a banner for Easter, and its super cute. MDW has the kits to make Happy Birthday, so I thought one for Easter would be nice. I have also finished the "7 Days of ME" class which is in a few weeks. If you really want to get some photos done of yourself and put it all in a funky "junked up" book with lots of places for journaling.. please come take this class. I have done a lot of research on Self Portraits.. I think I have picked some fun ones for you to try for this class. I'll try to post a few photos this weekend. I am super excited to be scrappin with my friends tonight.. I am so blessed and lucky to have the BEST group of friends ever! I love everyone of them.. they all bring something different to the group and I love them for that.. shouts out to all of them!

I have a big surprise tooo.. thanks to Renee (friend of the year award for her) I am now the new member of the C&T Pubishing DESIGN TEAM! I am still waiting for the particulars, but I was asked to join their fantastic team. I'll spill more as soon as I know!

".. k.. hood up..

Had to get this shot.. I am the luckiest mom in the world to have been blessed with such beautiful children.. they amaze me every day and I thank God everyday for letting me be their mom!

I can't believe its been a week since I posted.. I have wanted to and I have a bunch to share.. so here is some tidbits and things..

First, I have been going Layout Crazy, and have done like 5 layouts this week. I am on a Making Memories Kick.. they have been just blowing me away with their new paper lines.. first Noteworthy, then their Love Lines, and now this special one available at the dreaded "M's".. Chelsea's Place.. I absolutely love love love these papers.. Here is one layout I did with the Love Lines paper.. One of my favorite layouts ever.. just all came together beautifully..

Secondly, I AM TEACHING AT THE UPCOMING SCRAPBOOK EXPO! Its a last minute thing, but Sheri asked me to teach a class so here it is! Its called Simple Things, and its using the brand new Blackboard Book by Cosmo Cricket.. Its going to be held on Friday March 14th at 6:30pm. Please please come and take this class.. you get so much product and you'll learn a lot of great techniques!

I painted my scrapbook room! I can't wait to share it with everyone! The color is Jamaican Sea a beautiful turquoise color. I have been wanting to do this for over a year and its finally done! My room is almost complete. I need another few days of fixing it up and decorating, but I think its going to be perfect!

I can't wait to do more layouts and work more at home, which I hope to be doing really soon. I got the book "We Dare You", its by Kristina Contes. Although I might not agree with the way she handled the HOF and she has a reputation out there, I am really inspired by the book. Its going to be a way to get me to scrap about myself, and talk about things that normally wouldn't be talked about. I am excited to get started!

Last night we celebrated my fabulous MIL's 65th birthday and I got both the boys all spiffed up and took a bunch of pics before we left.. priceless.. can't wait to get them on paper!

Well its been a week since I was at CHA and wow what an experience. I was so glad to be there and help Sheri pick out all the products for the store. I didn't get to hang out with my friends at Scrap for A Cure and I was bummed about that.. time went by so fast while we were there. Plus your completely exhausted!
I am in full revamp mode of my scrapbook supplies and room(s). I am in a differnt dilema because I scrap alot on the go, so my supplies are all packed in bags, carryalls, etc.. so my room upstairs is completely un-utilized and I have a corner of the garage that is full of stuff too.. the My Daughters Wish Rummage sale is helping me get started.. CHA was absolutely FABULOUS! I couldn't have wished for a better time. The people we met, the products we bought, the friendships I made.. just incredible. I can't even put into words everything.. it would take a week!

From hanging with the wizard.. Mr. Hambly himself.. (I love him!) To hugging Elsie and giving her the frame I made, to meeting for the first time Melody of Chatterbox, Jon the Warehouse Guy, talking with Teresa Collins about her new line.. Kezia the owner of Tinkering Ink.. just a nice down to earth person and beautiful! The countless others.. whew.. what an experience!

I am so glad to have shared it with Sheri, she was so fun, and we kept on track and bought EVERYTHING! We made a ton of orders and had a blast! Here are the pics for now.. more stories later.. I need more sleep!

Wow only 3 days until I leave for CHA.. I am now officially getting excited! I have been checking out all the sneak peaks from manufacturers and I really love some of them. I think I am just ready to get away as well. I am a wife, mother, maid, taxi, scrapbook teacher and sales associate, and dog walker.. I know many of you know my life.. cause you live it too! Its hard to keep it all in balance. I had planned on taking more time for me this year, and this will be my first task. Its going to be a ton of hard work but ulitimately its going to be so rewarding! I want to see MDW succeed in this hard business and picking the right product is the first step. With so much out there its hard to forcast what is going to do well in our market. I hope Sheri and I can make the right decisions and make everyone happy. Its going to be kinda hard too.. because right now I am trying to figure out where I want to go in this business. I say that I want to teach, but do I really want to get in with a manufacturer and teach everywhere? Do I just want to be on my own and teach everywhere? How do you do that? Am I qualified? Can my home and family survive or let me do this? Its hard to decide. Right now, I love love love being at the store, teaching and being a big part of it. Should I just stay put and try to do more through the store? Such huge questions for little ol me. Sheri asked me what I'd like to do and the only word I can think of is "teach".. I think going to CHA will give me more insight. Do I want to become part of the "bigger" world. Am I ready for the competition and the rejection? There are so many designers out there that are better than me.. but I do think I bring something different to the table, but is it enough? I can't believe how time flies these days.. I had been without a computer for a few weeks, so I didn't post too much, but its back and I am such a happy girl! I can finally look for all the sneak peaks for CHA. I am so excited to be going. I am so excited to see some of the new things in person. I think we are going to have such a fab time! I might even bring one of my owl frames to give to Elsie.. but I don't want her to think I am some crazy stalker fan like Mallory or anything. (loves ya Mally Mal!)
So, Maya Road had this call for things to put on display at CHA. The only thing I had new, that was done, was the frame of the chipboard family I made of us. (See previous posts) I only used the keychain for the frame, so I didn't expect to get picked but I thought they might get a kick out of it. Lo and behold I got a rak from them. I am waiting impatiently for the mailman to bring me my goodies.. I'll share once I get them!

Last night I went ROCKCLIMBING! Touchstone Gym in Concord. Yes, you read that right.. I went to this indoor climbing gym with Sheri, and it was sooo much fun.. I did feel like the old fat mom around all these beautiful young men.. (I kept thinking, wow Bianca needs to come here!) but it was really inspiring and challenging. I was so tired and sore after just one climb.. I know I am outta shape, but didn't expect to be so winded. I am actually thinking of joining this crazy gym.. maybe I'd even use it more than the untouched 24 hour Fitness membership I have.. lol!
So, thanks Sheri for opening my world to a bit of yours.. I had a great time.
I have another announcement, but can't leak it out till I've made a few phone calls.. so check back tomorrow or later tonight for the announcement.. its so exciting and big for me.. (no its not a "yes" to the contest I entered.. ) but its super exciting and I can't wait to share.. (and you all better come see me!)

A funny thing happened at the store today.. The phone rang and Sheri answered it.. she was acting soo cool and collected laughing and kinda flirting on the phone.. I couldnt ask cause I was helping someone at the register.. but I heard her say "your products".. hmm.. who the heck is she talking too???

TIM FREAKING HOLTZ called her today! I want to spill but you'll have to check the MDW Blog today for the big news.. she got off the phone and we were like giddy school girls.. jumping up and down and screaming.. it was so funny.. I just love him.. (I think he loves MDW too.. )

Rockin the Acrylic!

So, here is my newest creation - "You are my SuperStar!". This is a 5 inch circle acrylic album. I'll be teaching this book at My Daughters Wish two times, first on Thursday February 7th at 6:30pm, and also on Saturday April 26th at 10:30am. We'll play with all kinds of fun embellies.. and this is chock full of bright fun colors, perfect for a boy or girl!

What a fun afternoon I had today. I was invited to a "private" class at my friend Lisa Supers house today. It was taught by Connie Govea Stuart who is to me the "queen" of collage and I admire her art so much. Its not something I've done a lot of but I love to look at the pages of Somerset and dream of all those beautiful things that I wish I could have or make, but alas I have a toddler in the house and its hard enough to keep him away from the paper punches and rubons.. let alone beautiful antique papers and ephemera. Anyways.. I made this FANTASTIC necklace today! ME! A collage artist.. wow.. it was so neat to work with things I hadn't had the pleasure of working with.. all these fun beautiful antique paper piecings.. and beads.. baubles and hanging out with a wonderful group of ladies..

So, thanks so much Connie for really an eye opening class for me that is waking up another part of the artist in me, and thanks so much to LISA for inviting me to spend the day with them. Hello.. well I am sneaking on my hubbys laptop and downloaded a few more pics of my frames. They have been so much fun. I am hoping to get them on my ETSY store to see if anyone wants any. I am getting super excited about all the things going on at My Daughters Wish. I have so many classes to prepare for and we are having an open house in a few weeks where all of us design team members will be doing make and take ATC cards. I am going to scan mine today and see if I can post it soon. Its super cute, with of course, Hambly, Hambly and more Hambly.. I think its going to be such a fun night. MDW is also having the Rock and Rummage Sale, which will be where you can sell off all your old stash and donate a bunch to local charities.. who wouldn't want to do that. I can think of a bunch of boxes I have been saving for such an event! Well off to check my little Tony.. watching Dora... a few minutes for me..

We have been having bad weather in our area for about a week now.. On Friday of last week, we had the worst storm we've had in two years. It was a great day at our house. The lights flickered on and off a couple of times. Tony wanted to use his umbrella and boots, so being the mom that I am... I put all our gear on and we played outside in the rain. It was so much fun, spashing in the puddles. People would drive by and look at us and smile. These are the things I'll always remember. Doing things out of the ordinary that bring that huge smile to my sons face. Then later in the day, I took both the dogs out for a long walk in the rain. Wow that was a blast. We went on the trails, got all muddy and wet but wow its was so refreshing! Now for the bad news...

Our computer wouldn't turn on after the power outages.. even though it was on a surge protector. So, no computer at home, no pictures to upload.. I do backup pics, but I know that I don't have them all.. we'll see.. I have hope that it can be fixed.

On the work front, I am super busy. We just set up all our classes for the next 3 months.. I have so many I can't even count! I am also going to CHA so I am really excited about it.

Happy New YEAR! I hope all of you had an enjoyable evening and day to today.. I was fighting to stay awake till midnight.. but I made it. Aaron, Tony and I had a fantastic steak dinner, with all the fixins.. and Aaron and I shared a bottle of wine and rang in the new year together which is the most important thing. To be with those you love.

I am hoping to change the blog a little bit this month and add some fun inspiring things.. I really want to focus on documenting more about me.. looking inside my soul and finding out why oh why was I put on this earth. I have a lot of ideas, but nothing is in clear focus. I hope to change that this year. So my resolution is to focus on ME.. as selfish as that sounds.. I need to do it. I even bought a meditation book today. I am going to walk more in the early morning with no music.. I am going to try to clear my head of all the 'stuff' in there and try to put things in more perspective.

I have a lot of scrapping ideas.. I can't wait for one of my classes later this quarter.. if you would like to take a look at yourself, you'll also love this class. I have all the supplies.. but now I have to turn the camera on myself.. thats going to take a few days guts to do it!

Wow, I finished 4 of the 5 cards I am making for the "Whoo's Crazy For Owls?" card class in January, and I am so excited! They turned out better than expected. Well I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays! I must say that this one of the most memorable, fun, less stressed Christmas I have had in years. We just had a fanatastic couple of days, filled with family, love, tears, and just plain fun. We ate till we popped, drank a lot of wine and really had so much fun with all the kids running around the house. We have a bunch that are just getting to the "fun" age of Christmas. Tony was so spoiled with presents but I don't care, it was priceless to see him excited and squealing with happiness. I did make my sister cry with her present.. I didn't even make it to her opening it when I started to cry. It was a memoriam album for her dog Jiggs. He was put down earlier this year and I made an album for her. It was so priceless to see her reaction. That is why we do this art, to make people think, remember and express feelings... its always good to make em cry too.. hehehehehehehe!

First I wanted to do a SHOUT OUT - Happy Birthday LAURA! She is on her way to LA to see the play "Wicked" a gift from her great hubby.. I love ya girl!

I have been busy moving my mom from Alameda to Pleasant Hill these past 2 weeks. Whew.. its hard to move someone after 22 years.. I am soo happy and excited to have her even closer to me and the family.

I did take some pics of two Christmas projects I did earier this month, the MERRY sign made with leftovers from the Scrap For A Cure October set, and Elsie Christmas paper (my favorite ever!), then I found this fantastic Making Memories Advent Calendar and finished this as well.

I have added two classes I'll be teaching in January at My Daughters Wish. One is a revamp of the Carol Wingert Remember When class taught at Wishfest, and the second is a fun card class with my favorite OWLS! Pictures soon!

I hope to scrap this weekend with my girlfriends.. I haven't done it in weeks, and I need to finish my Christmas cards.. only 12 more day left and soo much to do!

So, this past week, Christmas has BLOWN up in our house! I need to take some pics of the mantle, dinning room, living room.. I swear.. every room downstairs is full.. I kept pulling boxes upon boxes down in the garage.. I never need to buy a string of lights again in my life.. I won't need to buy ANY gift wrap for 20 years.. I am one that buys things the day after Christmas, then forgets about it.. geesh, I pulled down two brand new 4 roll sets of gift wrap (the ones that come with the bows and ribbon).. but then at Target this past week, I saw some perfect GW in my colors, turquoise, pink and green and of course bought it.. with the coordinating bows.. I didn't realize I had done this last year.. don't we all do this?

We also got our tree today. What an exciting time. We borrowed the pickup truck and we needed it plus the car to get everyone to the tree lot.. I love to make it a big deal..especially with Tony. I drove the pickup with Bianca and Tony sitting next to me. It was so nice to have them right up next to me.. I thought about how extremely blessed I am in this life to have two beautiful children who just make this world sing for me. The little laughs, the cute looks they give each other and me. Its incredible that they are mine and I am so lucky to have them. I never in a million years when I was young thought that children would be my proudest achievement in life. But I can say that with such honor now. I never would have thought that being a stay at home mom to them, keeping a house, starting traditions was going to be the life for me. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. With Tony being at an age of wonder and innocence.. it really brings the holidays into perspective, Enjoy them!

This is a wooden block I had, but used the Scrap For A Cure December Kit which had my FAVORITE paper in it! Elsie Holiday paper.. can't get any better than that! LOVE IT!

Hello Friends! Wow its been a hard long week for me! I have been totally SICK! I have the completely RAW throat, then last night I had a fever and the chills the whole nine yards. I slept for about 12 hours.. I am feeling a little bit better, but still no energy. I haven't been online for a few days.. I have a bunch of designer deadlines tomorrow, but thankfully I had already done most of my projects before I got sick! Here is a super cute one, CHRISTMAS TREE! Its done with papers from the Creative Hearts Studio December Kit. It has this super cute paper from Websters Pages in it. Kinda retro antiquey christmas. Perfect for this tree! More to come later!

So, I have been playing alot this past week.. I am making my Christmas list and what I am making for whom... and also making a few things for me! I am going to try to make all my Christmas presents this year, plus make my Christmas cards, so I am going to try to keep on schedule... but I got off of it a little bit late last night.. I had sitting on the table the super cute Maya Road Chipboard keychains, and I have been wondering how I would alter them. Well I just "went to it" and I just couldn't stop till they were done. I want to put them in a layout, but couldn't wait to share them with others.
So, first is a cute hanging chipboard christmas door hanger. Made with the Maya Road Accordian album that originally had rings.. I took them out and used ribbon. I will be making 3 or 4 of these, for family and of course one for me!
Then is a pic of the super cute Maya Road "Costa" family people. I LOVE THEM!
On the Tony bottle front.. I am so excited, things have been so easy and the transition so wonderful.. he is sleeping through the night, and hasn't asked for a bottle in a few days. He is still on the milk strike, but I am trying every day waiting for the moment he gulps it down. Thanks for the tips.. I am using them!

So I have been busy having fun, working, playing, being a mom.. trying to do the impossible.. wean my child off a bottle.. yep.. I am that mom that let it get out of hand and now Tony is over 2 years old! So.. we are on day 3 today.. first two nights were better than expected.. but wow the crying and begging is very hard to hear especially at 5am.. but we HAVE to do it.. now he is on a milk strike and hasn't drank any in the 3 days.. what do we do??? He won't drink it out of a cup. Any suggestions?
Finally here is a layout purely of my choice.. my full layout.. I haven't done one in a long time. Tony loves to pick up my mini books all over the house and look at them.. makes me so proud. So I asked him if he'd like to see the "big" books and we sat down and looked at my layout books.. I really enjoyed seeing all my work again and got me to thinking that I need to get back to doing layouts.. (other than my DT commitments) I LOVE LOVE LOVE my DT team, but I loved doing this layout with just things I have bought and haven't had time to play with.. so here it is.. CUTE BOYS! My daughters friends.. love them! They are the coolest hipest sweetest teenagers a mom would want to hang out with her daughter. They are polite, treat her nice and treat me with respect.. So.. thanks Matt and Jerry (two on the left) for hanging with Bianca!

Wow we had a fantastic night on Tuesday night! We had the pleasure of having Allison from Hambly come to MDW and teach a super fun Clearly Heavy Overlays class. This is their new product that is sheer like acrylic but you can use most of your normal tools to cut it! The project was super cute and the ladies in the class had a fabulous time!

Monday here... I want my weekend back! I had a great time teaching on Saturday, the class was mellow, all went well and we actually finished on time, yippee! The acrylic classes are always so much fun because I get to see people get really creative and think outside the normal scrapbook box. I try encourge individuality in the book and not to do it exactly as I have. We played and got our hands dirty.. always a blast!

Sunday I played at Scrapbook Territory doing a fun Card extravaganza class, it was a lot of fun and I got a ton of new ideas. I'll try to post some of the cards/projects this week.

Just wanted to share some more creativity I did with the November kits from Creative Hearts Studio and Scrap For a Cure. The first is with the CHS kit for November "Beauty" and this is a layout I did with that great picture of Tony at the hay maze in the Livermore Pumpkin patch. I loved the glittery leaves that came with this kit! The second is a layout of Tony I did with the November kit from SFAC called "The Santa Maria". I loved just using the Bazzill sheet as is and I painted around the edges.. I love how it turned out!
I teach tomorrow morning the Home Life Acrylic Class and can't wait to see how great everyones project comes out!

It November 1st, which is KIT day! I have so much to share! I was asked by Scrap For A Cure to design a project kit for them.. geez I wonder what I chooosseeee... AN ACRYLIC BOOK! Here it is! The kit is only $24.95 and can be found on their website HERE! Its chock full of fun embellishments, and comes with the 5x5 acrylic album. This was so much fun to do! I am also sharing a layout I did with their November kit. It is my favorite layout in a long time. I loved the products included in the kit, I felt I was very creative with what I did! End of the MONTH! Yikes.. its crazy around here.. I have creative deadlines which I am almost finished with.. can't wait to share with you! I was so excited to create the November Project Kit for Scrap For A Cure Kit club! Its so cute and fun and perfect for your pumpkin patch pics or fall pics.. actually it'll be cute for any theme! I am so excited for its debut later this week on their website.. stay tuned here or there for the details and ordering!

On Sunday we visited the Pumpkin Farm in Livermore and Tony is at the age where its so exciting and we just had a ball with his cousins and friends! Here is a great shot of him running through the hay bale maze.. love the effect on the photo..look for this one in a page very soon!

Halloween is almost here.. I am so excited.. Having a toddler is so much fun.. he LOVES Halloween and the SCARY things associated with it.. mom has gotten into it with spiders on the outside of the house.. the glowing ghost and pumpkins littering our porch.. I also have a dinning room table filled with candy and goodies for our family and friends.. I can't wait!

What a fun week its been! It started out Saturday when I attended the Scrap For A Cure Charity Crop in Brentwood. It was a fun filled day of friends and scrappin! I saw some old friends I hadn't seen in awhile, and got a ton of things done, and just spent good time with great friends. I love love love these days of no dishes, no laundry, no screaming kids (I love you TONY!) but wow before you know it the day is almost over. They go by so fast. Its a luxury to be able to scrap all day and into the evening and I cherish this time to be creative and hang out with my friends. Its such a release and it feels really good to come home with completed projects. I finished both my December classes for MDW. First is the famous Christmas House.. and wow this one is CUTE! The second is a Whimsical Christmas, which is file folders, tags, transperancies, all Zuttered together to make a wild book! See my side panel for more information on dates and times.

We all have friends that we loose touch with over the years and the past few weeks I had been thinking of one of my best friends from high school. I even looked on MySpace to see if they had a page, nothing.. I had no idea what they were up to... then the other day, Bianca asks me to come look at the computer. She said she got some weird friend request from an "old" person.. lo and behold here was my childhood friend, trying to find me through Bianca's MySpace page.. isn't life weird??? I absoutely LOVE when things like this happen.. it makes you believe and gives you hope that there is so much more that happens in life, you just need to open your eyes and see it.. So.. hello old friend who is hopefully reading this.. its been nice to chat with you lately!

Ooh I've been busy this week! I was comissoned to prepare a friends moving announcements (48 of them!) and I am finally finished! Whew! I think they came out darn cute! It took a lot of time and finding of alternate products. Isn't that always the case? You make a sample, go back a few days later to get all the paper etc..and they are sold out! Luckily the scenic route paper all works so well together in the fall colors, so they all worked together.. and then they all have their personality!

On a professional note, I have been so busy working with the FANTASTIC ladies of the My Daughters Wish Design Team! They are all so talented.. I am working on getting them all linked to my blog, so check them out soon! I am so inspired by their talent and creativity!

I am adding a new class to my list, which will be "A Whimsical Christmas".. this is totally a "Daniela" album.. Its using the new Rhonna Farrer Christmas line, Making Memories Christmas line and will be using file folders, hambly overlays.. and tons of cute buttons, flowers and ribbon.. and its in pink, turqoise and green.. the unofficial new colors of Christmas in the scrapbook world.. I'll try to take a pic of all the things I am using in it and get it up asap!

Happy Morning! I have been up again, but not with the best of lucky creatively.. we have had the "sickness" in our house this week, and I am finally back to "normal".. ohh do I hate being sick.. it got passed around at a family function on Saturday, and at least 10 people got sick.. kinda scary how things can travel so fast through people. Here are a few more layouts from my October design teams.

I need new pics of them badly.. they are sooo much fun to photograph and they are so beautiful, that every picture is just great! The second is from Scrap For A Cure October kit and its on the day of Tony's baptism last year with my mom.. A very special day for us.

WOW two posts in one day! I must be on a roll or something! I finished my latest acrylic book, and I must say, its darn cute! Its a stepped album the first page being 4x4 and the last being 4x8. It was super fun to make.. I am hoping it will be my next class at My Daughters Wish, stay tuned for final details!

Happy Friday everyone! Its still dark here at my house.. I love being up before everyone else in the house. Its all MINE! No kids, no dogs running at my feet, just me and the quiet of early morning. I am seriously an early morning person. As soon as I am done here, I'll put on a pot of coffee and go to my craft table and start playing for about an hour. I am fully inspired at this point and have a ton of ideas and things I'd like to play with.. I bought some new Tinkering Ink, I think its called BLUR, and WOWSERS, this is my kind of paper! Its screaming at me to play with it! I am also working on a new acrylic class which is a book about home..
soo as promised here are two more layouts from my kit club designs.. First is of my Grandfather Humberto. This is one of my all time favorite pictures. Its from the 1920's and is in Brazil. Look at their clothes and look at their shoes.. wow.. I'd love to travel back in time and see what life was like back then wouldn't you? This is from the Creative Hearts Studio October Kit. The second is of Tony. Very simple layout, but I love this paper and this picture is priceless. Its of when he was about 8-9 months old and first learning how grass feels under his hands.. This was made with the Scrap For A Cure kit club for October. Have a great day everyone, try

My scissors have been on FIRE these past few days.. I finished 8 layouts.. can you believe it??? I have done my work for Scrap for a Cure and for Creative Hearts Studio,so each day I'll share one layout from each kit.. First is Me-1972, made with the October kit from Scrap For A Cure.. check it out fantastic! Second is "My Family Tree" made with the October kit from Creative Hearts Studio. So much fun! Loved them both this month!

Whew! What a WEEKEND! We had the WISHFEST celebration this weekend at My Daughters Wish and wow it was so much fun! I got to hang out with all my friends, meet a lot of fantastic women.. and just get soo INSPIRED! I have ideas so full in my head that I am about to burst! I can't wait to create.. I have a ton of shouts to everyone that came and helped MDW throw a FANTASTIC event, that I can't wait to do again next year!
I have a lot to share this week, so today I will share a pic of a super cute HUGE rubon I got online. It has my favorite.. an owl.. It makes me so happy to walk into the family room and see this on my wall. You can get one HERE. They have all kinds of fun things to put on your walls.. I bought a bunch and will share when I get each of them up.
